AAC Slideshow: Girls on Ice

Girls on Ice Alaska has been exploring and studying Gulkana Glacier in the Eastern Alaska Range since 2012. Each June, a team of high school girls and professional women scientists, artists, and mountain guides engage in critical inquiry on the glacier to push themselves physically and intellectually. Girls on Ice Alaska is part of Inspiring Girls Expeditions, a program run through the University of Alaska Fairbanks that empowers young women to lead and succeed through science, art, and wilderness exploration. Join us on December 6th for stories and a slideshow from our 2018 expedition, and to learn about Inspiring Girls Expeditions 2019!
